The Pioneer Valley Machinery Preservationists Society Inc (hereafter known as PVMPS) was formed in 1995 by Mr Peter Pritchard and had their first meeting on the 5th of October of that year. The society attracted members who prior to the club kept their private collections for viewing by family and friends only. News of the formation of the club spread throughout the community and resulted in invitations to exhibit at local fairs and shows.

Today the club has grown from 13 financial members in its first year of operation to 39 financial members as of July 2011. Our members regularly exhibit in the district and we can be seen at events including (but not limited to), The Finch Hatton Show, Greenmount Historical Open Day, The Pinnacle Fair, Sarina Show and various charity and fund raising events. The club is also known to attend events with their machinery as far away as Barcaldine and various national rallies around the country.
